Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were announced live on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The ceremony will be televised from 19:00 GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
