The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The influential game designer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to.
